1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Indian Drive Guide ("IDG") mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

Indian Drive Guide is a comprehensive vehicle management platform that provides:

  • Community Q&A platform for vehicle-related queries and support

  • Trip expense management and shared cost tracking

  • Vehicle management with QR code functionality

  • User profile and reputation system

3. User Accounts and Registration

3.1 Account Creation

  • You must provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration

  • You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account

  • One account per person is permitted

3.2 Account Verification

  • We may require verification of your identity, phone number, or email address

  • Unverified accounts may have limited functionality

  • False information may result in account suspension or termination

4. Community Platform

4.1 User-Generated Content

  • You retain ownership of content you create but grant us a license to use, display, and distribute it

  • You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of your content

  • Content must be related to vehicles, driving, or transportation topics

4.2 Community Guidelines

  • Be respectful and helpful to other community members

  • Do not post spam, promotional content, or irrelevant material

  • No sharing of personal contact information (email, phone numbers) in public posts

  • No offensive, discriminatory, or harmful content

  • Do not provide illegal advice or promote illegal activities

4.3 Content Moderation

  • We employ automated and manual moderation systems

  • We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms

  • Repeated violations may result in account restrictions or termination

  • Content flagged by users will be reviewed and appropriate action taken

4.4 Reputation System

  • User points and rankings are based on community contributions

  • Gaming the system or creating fake accounts to boost reputation is prohibited

  • Reputation scores are calculated based on quality contributions and community feedback

5. Trip Expense Management

5.1 Financial Data Accuracy

  • You are responsible for entering accurate expense information

  • Verify all amounts and calculations before confirming expenses

  • We are not responsible for financial disputes arising from inaccurate data entry

5.2 Usage Limits

  • Maximum 100 trips per user account

  • Maximum 2,000 expenses per trip

  • Maximum 10 participants per trip

  • Expense amounts limited to ₹0.01 - ₹100,000 per entry

5.3 Settlement and Payments

  • IDG does not process actual payments or money transfers

  • Settlement calculations are for reference only

  • Users must arrange actual payments independently

  • We are not responsible for disputes over actual money transfers

5.4 Trip Collaboration

  • Trip creators have administrative rights and responsibilities

  • Participants must accept invitations to access trip data

  • All trip participants can view shared expense information

  • Removing participants may affect historical calculations

6. Vehicle Management and QR Codes

6.1 Vehicle Information

  • You must own or have authorized access to vehicles you register

  • License plate information must be accurate and current

  • You are responsible for updating vehicle information when it changes

6.2 QR Code Functionality

  • QR codes linked to your vehicles will be publicly accessible

  • Anyone scanning your QR code will see designated vehicle information

  • You control what information is displayed through QR code settings

  • QR codes are provided for convenience and emergency purposes only

6.3 Emergency Contacts

  • You must have consent from individuals before adding them as emergency contacts

  • Emergency contacts may receive notifications when your QR code is scanned

  • You are responsible for keeping emergency contact information current

  • We are not liable for failed emergency notifications

6.4 Scanning and Privacy

  • QR code scans are logged for security and functionality purposes

  • Scanner information including device details and approximate location may be recorded

  • You can disable QR code functionality at any time through app settings

7. Prohibited Uses

You may not use our Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

  • Infringe on intellectual property rights

  • Transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems

  • Use automated tools to scrape or harvest data

  • Impersonate other users or provide false identity information

  • Engage in commercial activities without authorization

  • Share inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Our Content

  • IDG owns all rights to the application, website, and proprietary content

  • Our trademarks, logos, and brand elements are protected intellectual property

  • You may not use our intellectual property without written permission

8.2 User Content

  • You retain ownership of content you create

  • You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use your content within our Service

  • You represent that you have rights to all content you submit

  • We may use aggregated, anonymized user data for service improvement

9. Privacy and Data Protection

  • Your privacy is important to us

  • Our data collection and use practices are detailed in our Privacy Policy

  • By using our Service, you consent to our Privacy Policy

  • You can request data deletion through the account settings or by contacting support

10. Third-Party Services

  • Our Service integrates with third-party services (Supabase, OneSignal, ImgBB)

  • Third-party services have their own terms and privacy policies

  • We are not responsible for third-party service availability or data handling

  • Service disruptions may occur due to third-party dependencies

11. Service Availability

11.1 Uptime and Maintenance

  • We strive for high availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service

  • Scheduled maintenance will be announced when possible

  • Emergency maintenance may occur without advance notice

11.2 Service Modifications

  • We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time

  • Continued use after modifications constitutes acceptance of changes

14. Account Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time through app settings or by contacting support

  • Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone

  • Some data may be retained for legal or operational purposes

14.2 Termination by Us

  • We may suspend or terminate accounts for Terms violations

  • Immediate termination may occur for serious violations

  • We will provide notice when possible before termination

15. Dispute Resolution

15.1 Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of India

  • Courts in Delhi have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes

15.2 Resolution Process

  • Contact our support team first to resolve disputes informally

  • Formal disputes will be resolved through arbitration in Delhi in accordance with Indian arbitration laws

  • Class action lawsuits are waived to the extent permitted by law

16. Changes to Terms

  • We may update these Terms periodically

  • Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance

  • Previous versions will be archived and available upon request
